Voices of Africa for Sustainable Development is recruiting volunteers to introduce the Rural Internet Kiosks to villages in Kenya!
Interested in development in Africa?
Know how to use the computer and the Internet?
Then we have an adventure waiting for you!
Volunteers will spend 6 months (can be extended up to 2 years) in a rural village in Kenya bringing information and communications technologies for development to areas without any previous access to computers or the Internet.

Timeline:
Month 1- Introduction to the community and baseline study to determine the socioeconomic status of the community and their understanding of ICTs.
Month 2- Training local youth in ICT and Social Enterprise to enable them to become kiosk operators.
Months 3-5- Building capacity within the local community and sustainable income generating activities for the people through the Rural Internet Kiosk and Independent Study.
Month 6- Project evaluation and assessment to show impact and to make suggestions for future projects.
